Sunset Camel Trek in Merzouga

Your unforgettable sunset camel trek begins around 5:30 PM, just as the golden hues of the desert start to shift with the approaching evening. Mount your camel and set off on a serene journey through the vast dunes of Erg Chebbi, letting the rhythmic sway of your ride immerse you in the peaceful beauty of the Sahara.

After approximately 30 minutes, we will reach the heart of the dunes, where you will dismount and continue on foot for about 80 meters to reach one of the highest points in Merzouga. For those eager to witness a panoramic view, a short 10-minute climb to the top offers a truly breathtaking spectacle as the sun dips below the horizon, bathing the landscape in mesmerizing shades of orange and gold.

If you prefer to relax, the area around the camel rest stop provides an equally stunning vantage point to soak in the sunset’s magic. Once you’ve enjoyed this serene moment, we will begin our return journey to the village before nightfall.
